The Holland Mechanics High-end rim drilling station is designed to accurately drill spoke holes into carbon and other high end rims. It is possible to to drill all possible spoke patterns into the ultra-light carbon bicycle rims in all angles. Where most existing machines are only able to drill from the outside, these rim drilling machines are capable of drilling spoke holes from the inside and spoke nipple holes from the outside. The outside drilling is optimized for automatic wheel-building, so tools can find the nipples in the same angle as the spoke. This makes it possible to drill at exactly the right angle to allow the spoke to sit in the rim so that it is free of unnecessary warping, thereby increasing reliability. In addition to basic functionality, these machines are capable of drilling different rim types.
